The idyllic spectacle which is none other than the Burj Khalifa is a total knock out. Being one of its kinds in the neo-futurism architectural motif, the Burj Khalifa Dubai, is one of the kingpins of the United Arab Emirates and observes an impressive footfall. Most people prefer pulling some strings before they wander the wonder; cautious in the effort to not bring along or do anything off-limits. One dubiety that plagues the mind of most day-trippers is whether you can voyage up to the Burj Khalifa’s summit.

Let’s clear that uncertainty once and for all, yes?

The Burj Khalifa is situated in downtown Dubai, beside the Dubai mall−the second-largest shopping arcade in the world. Emaar Properties are partial owners of the Burj Dubai, while individual/private investors own the rest of it. To get to the extravaganza via metro, you will have to board the Red Line followed by the F13 bus which takes you straight to the Dubai mall. You may hike to the mall via a flyway, roughly taking up to 15 minutes if you’re a brisk pacer. To make ambling simpler, you’ll notice auto walks strategically placed which you can mount to take a breather and check Instagram. Once in the emporium, the path from there is easy. You’ll have to battle fatigue and leg cramps to trek to the lower ground floor where, if the fates are in your favour, you will come upon the ticket office which will be your godsend to the paradisal fortress of Burj Khalifa.
Another option, which is time-saving and less tedious, is purchasing the tickets online. This way you can traipse through the beeline and the cashier, swinging your arms in glee.

Another thing you should know before we move on is that Burj Khalifa is bifurcated into 2 observation decks. The lower deck goes by the name "At the Top" and when it launched in 2010, it earned the laurel for the loftiest observation deck in the world. That was the Burj Khalifa 124 floor. That didn’t last long as soon after the Canton tower in China broke its record. This urged the founders to build a new deck− "At The Top Sky," which peaks at the 163 rd floor (Burj Khalifa height by the way is 829.8 m to the tip), and is out of bounds to visitors.

The tickets for Burj Khalifa are reasonably priced before the breathtaking sunset and get cheaper as the day advances. Eatables, haversacks and knick-knacks are not permitted to the top of the skyscraper and are required to be dropped off at luggage storage. The winding queues can get tiresome and the security is top-notch but once you clear all the echelons, the rest of the way is cake. The elevators, the third-fastest in the world, will shoot you up to your destination.
Outside the elevator, the observatory is open-air on the top part and the rest of the way is glass-clad, supported with metal bars. The view is dazzling, dotted with glimmering skyscrapers with the city skyline shimmering in the distance. This high up, the irie vibes and larger-than-life experience make you want to scream in fascination. Do not do that though. The place is brimming with globe trotters and you do not want that Brit to think you're feeling squeamish.
