Dubai Attractions - A list of our Favorite Tourist Attractions.
Dubai Attractions are adding up to the list faster than any other place on earth. Be it residential, commercial, hotels, roads, Dubai Metro or an entertainment project; the same rule applies everywhere.
It has to be different.
Bigger, taller, unique design, in the middle of the sea or something even more imaginative. If you can think it, you can do it.
On our many trips to this fascinating land we've visited most of the existing and upcoming visitor attractions. Depending upon the time you have set aside for Dubai tourist attractions, you can visit some or all of these. Here are some of our favorite tourist attractions in Dubai, with important info on each: Dubai Museum:
This is a must see. On our first visit here we were taken into the past, through the history of Dubai, from desert houses with their typical wind towers to modern Dubai. The old maps of the region and aerial pictures of the development of Dubai city in the last decades gave us an overview of the development of this fabulous city.Location: Dubai Museum, Old Al Fahidi Fort, Bur Dubai. Call: 43531862 Timings: 8 am – 7:30 pm, only exception being Friday 1:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
Ski Dubai:
Skiing & snowboarding from atop an 85 m high hill in an indoor ski resort in the Middle East desert is really out of the world. The skiing and the yummy restaurant cafe's inside are definitely amongst my favorite tourist attractions in Dubai.
Ski Dubai, Mall of the Emirates. Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. Call: 44094000
Wild Wadi Water Park:
We really enjoyed the rides here. Age is no barrier to have fun on a wild water ride. There’s a ride which inter-connects with 11 rides, awesome!
Wild Wadi Water Park, between Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai Call: 43484444Timings: 10 am to 6 pm. (Some months it remains open till 8 pm).
Desert Safari:
This is a MUST DO. The thrill of hurtling down vertically from atop a sand dune in an SUV at 80 mph is an experience of a lifetime. Nothing compares to it. Dune bashing and enjoying an Arabic night in an Oasis with beautiful girls belly dancing; and authentic yummy Arabic cuisine is surely worth it! Desert Safari Dubai tours are offered by lots of companies, one of our favorites is Alpha Tours, Call: 42949888
Jumeirah Beach and Park:
This is a large, clean public beach and picnic resort. There are Showers, free sunbathing seats, barbeque pits, food kiosks, volleyball courts, and walking tracks.
Live musical performances are held in an amphitheatre here. A memorable day can be spent here.
Al Mamzar Park: This is a beautiful park with beaches. Not many tourists are aware of this lovely park and its beaches, as you won’t find this in most of the Dubai Tour Guide Books, so you’ll find fewer crowds here. Good for peaceful getaways.Timings: 8 am to 11 pm. Saturdays and Sundays is reserved for women and children only.
The Deira Corniche: A waterfront promenade, The Corniche is flanked to the north by the Persian Gulf and consists of a broad pedestrian walkway that extends to the Dubai Creek. You can have an evening walk here, which is as relaxing and refreshing as a dip in the azure waters of the Arabian Sea.
Burj Al Arab Hotel:

Designed to resemble a billowing sail, it’s amazing architecture is set to blow your imagination away. It is illuminated at night by choreographed lighting representing water and fire.
I can in a few words describe the experience as simply individual, inspired and impressive. One of the Dubai Attractions I highly recommend to see.
Call: 43017777 Entrance fee: USD 55
Ice Skating:
This indoor rink is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our kids simply love this place, especially since it’s a great escape from the crowded and hot city centre. It is in the heart of the old city, just a few minutes from the Gold Souk.
Ice Skating, Hyatt Regency Dubai, Deira. Call: 42091234
Jumeirah Mosque:
It is the only mosque open to non-Muslims for special tours to give insights into Islamic culture. This is a must visit for you to see the brilliant architecture & interior design of this divine Mosque.
Jumeirah Mosque, Al Jumeirah Road. Call: 43536666
Tours are conducted on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 10 am. Fee: AED 10 per person.
Dubai Diving and Heritage Villages:
With potters, weavers and other artisans practicing their crafts amid exhibitions and pearl diving demonstrations, this place provides a great introduction to traditional Bedouin coastal village life. Hot tourist attractions in Dubai. One of our favorite Dubai Attractions.
Dubai Diving and Heritage Villages, Shindagha. Area of Bur Dubai at the mouth of the Creek.
Dubai Spice Souk: This is a traditional market in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The open and closed-roof stores in several narrow lanes are worth a visit if you want to understand the origin of this great trading city.
Sikkat Al Khail Road, Al Ras; Deira.
Burj Dubai Tower: We’ve visited the tallest building in the world, the Burj Tower (renamed as Burj Khalifa Tower) several times and have seen it rise like a phoenix from ground level. It is a definite must-see. You can take a view from high on top (124th floor) for a fee of course. Already one of the top Dubai Attractions.
Downtown Burj Dubai. Call: 43675568
Dhow Cruise:
This is one of my family’s favorite. You can enjoy the true beauty of Dubai aboard an Arab style decorated wooden dhow (cabin cruise), sailing along the Dubai creek.
We really enjoy the romantic cruise under the moonlight. The buffet dinner onboard is delicious too. Our children freak out on the Magic shows a lot. Dubai Attractions at it's best!
